This past week has been crazy as far as milestones are concerned.
First big news is that we now have 2 crawlers. Anna has been moving forwards for a few weeks now and has gotten quite fast. She now uses opposite legs and arms together, instead of just using her arms to pull herself forward. Alex has been a little slower in the learning to crawl department. He has been rolling like crazy (one side of the room to the other) and has been trying to crawl for a few weeks now, spending lots of time on his belly waving his arms and kicking his feet trying to will his body to move forward. Finally yesterday something clicked and he hit the gas. He is still pretty slow and hasn't made it too many feet at a time, but we have forward movement. Yay Alex!
Anna has decided that going forward isn't enough and is now looking upwards. She has mastered pushing up on things to get herself in a kneeling position. She will comfortably sit with her butt on the ground between her knees, or will stand up on her knees to reach up higher. She has also managed to pull herself up to standing a few times now. Mostly just on Ian and I, but once she pulled herself up to standing on a laundry basket and proceeded to fall into it head first. Daddy had to rescue her.
