7 years ago today I was waking up to my new life as a married woman. Yesterday was our 7 year wedding anniversary. Neither of us felt like having a big celebration, but we did take some time to connect and to talk about how lucky we are to have each other. We had planned on getting takeout from Tareks, but when we got there it was closed. So we went to the grocery store and got some stuff to make one of our favorite meals instead. In the checkout line we got a call from our hay guy saying there would be a load arriving shortly, so it turned out it was a good thing we hadn't planned a big date night with babysitters and the lot. Some of our good friends came over to give Ian a hand unloading the hay as I fed and put the babies to bed. Many hands make for light work, and it was done in a flash. Once our supper was made we sat down to watch (and for Ian to poke fun at) the final episode of the Bachelorette. Not the most romantic day ever, but nice to be able to spend the whole day together.
